Teaching Hospital

KBSU has affiliation with 6 major teaching hospitals in Nalchik with a combined capacity of 1200+ beds. The main teaching hospital - Republican Clinical Hospital - is a multi-specialty 600-bed facility offering exposure in all clinical departments.

Students get hands-on clinical training from Year 3 onwards under the supervision of experienced clinicians. The hospitals are equipped with modern diagnostic facilities including CT scan, MRI, endoscopy units, and advanced operation theaters.

Course Structure & Curriculum

The MBBS program at KBSU spans 6 years: Years 1-2 focus on pre-clinical sciences including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, and Russian language. Years 3-5 cover para-clinical and clinical subjects - Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Psychiatry with hospital rotations. Year 6 is dedicated to clinical internship with rotations across major departments.
