Course Structure & Curriculum
The 6-year MBBS program follows the European medical curriculum. Years 1-2 cover pre-clinical subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology). Years 3-5 focus on clinical subjects (Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology).
Year 6 is dedicated to clinical rotations and internship. Teaching is in English with practical training in hospitals. Students must pass university exams and the NMC Screening Test (NExT) to practice in India.
FMGE / NExT Passing Performance
Mari State University is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), India, and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). Indian students who graduate from this university are eligible to appear for the NMC Screening Test (NExT) to obtain a license to practice medicine in India.
