Founded on 5th February 1960 by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) Government, Peoples’ Friendship University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in Moscow city of Russia. Also known as RUDN University and until 1992 and after March 2023, as Patrice Lumumba University in honor of the Congolese politician Patrice Lumumba. In 1965, the first 288 students from 47 nations received their degrees from the Peoples’ Friendship University to study MBBS in Russia. It is the only institution in Russia that brings together students from 140 different nations and where students and scholars are free to research their university studying, teaching, and research activities. Peoples’ Friendship University offers over 150 educational programs in collaboration with renowned international universities. The RUDN University to study MBBS in Russia also comprises of research centers and institutes catering to research and academic community such as Institute of World Economy and business, Academic-research Institute of Gravitation and Cosmology, and Institute of Medico-Biological Problems.

The University has more than 250 international partnerships with institutions of high repute and runs close to 155 joint programs with these institutions presents all over the world. The Peoples’ Friendship University also participates and collaborates on various forums and programs of the UNO, UNESCO, and EU Council. The University is known to have a world-class educational background full of opportunities and ideas to study medicine degree in Russia with 14 laboratories and all modern infrastructure to meet educational requirements of the students.
