ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA
- Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.
- Admission: – Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).
- NEET Cut off (2020): – For General Category: – 147 marks, For reserved category: – 113 marks.
UNIVERSITY INFORMATION
Yerevan State Medical University is one of the leading government medical universities for MBBS study in Eastern Europe. It was established in 1920 as a faculty and then as an independent Institution in 1930. The University is listed in the Directory of Higher Medical Institutions adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO). Yerevan State Medical University is a state non-commercial institution under the Ministry of Education and Science for MBBS in Armenia.
Yerevan State Medical University is a member of the International Association of Universities, which gives great opportunity in the sphere of development of international relations, probation period abroad, and students’ exchange, participation in grant programs under the aegis of UNESCO joint conferences, and research work for medical students. Having a firm structure the Yerevan State Medical University has worked out and implemented research and educational programs, for which it has gained international acknowledgment. Yerevan State Medical University established a direct partnership in extensive cooperation form with about 30 universities around the globe. In nearly a century-long existence the Yerevan State Medical University has trained over 30,000 doctors. At present, over 162 Doctor of Sciences and 481 Ph.D. degree holders comprise the University faculty of 1100 Professors.
Yerevan State Medical University is one of the most popular and favorite destinations for medical education in Europe, with over 1000 Indian students presently pursuing their medical studies there. Since 1987 Indian batches have regularly been admitted to this University. Medical aspirants’ students from more than 40 countries are at the advantage to complete their graduation from this University. Currently, there are about five thousand five hundred students enrolled in the studies at seven faculties of Yerevan State Medical University, 1800 of them coming from different countries of the world.
On 11-16 April 2016, Yerevan State Medical University hosted 5 Nobel Laureates under one roof in frames of a unique scientific event called “Nobel Days in Yerevan”.
