ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA
- Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.
- Admission: – Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).
- NEET Cut off (2020): – For General Category: – 147 marks, For reserved category: – 113 marks.
UNIVERSITY INFORMATION
Nepal Army Institute of Health Sciences formerly known as Tri-Chandra Military hospital (TCMH), was established in 1925 AD (BS 1982) in honor of Nepalese soldiers who dedicated their life in the First Great War was one of the best modern hospitals of that time.
Tri-Chandra Military hospital (TCMH) was the first hospital to introduce fiber-optic endoscope services and establish a semi-automatic pathology lab in Nepal. In 1989 its upgraded services were shifted to Shree Birendra Hospital (SBH) in Chhauni, Kathmandu giving new technology and treatment modalities like MRI and Extra Corporeal Shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), multislice Helical CT for the first time in country. The transformation of TCMH services to SBH and subsequently NAIHS moving in on this footing has been considered important point in the history of Nepalese Army Medical Corps (NAMC). The concept of NAIHS generated with the imminent need to improve patient care system within Nepalese Army Medical corps which could only be achieved by igniting medical potentialities of its health professionals with academic fire by having a medical institute of its own.
Nepal Army Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal stands by its commitment to produce skillful doctors, who can address the complex nature of health problems. With an intake of only 100 students only every year, the University aims to provide quality education to deserving candidates and to create capable professionals.
