ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA
- Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.
- Admission: – Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).
- NEET Cut off (2020): – For General Category: – 147 marks, for reserved category: – 113 marks.
UNIVERSITY INFORMATION
Established in April 2000, Central South University formed by the amalgamation of the three former individual universities, namely Central South University of Technology (founded in 1952), Changsha Railway University (founded in 1953), Hunan Medical University (founded in 1914 as Hsiang-ya Medical College; currently named Xiangya School of Medicine).
The predecessor of Central South University was Central-South Institute of Mining and Metallurgy which was founded in the year 1952 and that of CRU was Central South College of Civil Engineering and Architecture which was founded in 1953.
Central South University (CSU) is a national key university under the administration of the Ministry of Education of China directly, and a member of Double First Class University Plan, Project 211 and Project 985, construction projects to support the development of top universities of the country. The university covers an area of 392.4 hectares, with campuses located across the Xiang River at the foot of the Yuelu Hill, which is closed to its neighbor, Hunan University.
CSU has a total floor space of 2,330,000 square meters. The library of CSU has a collection of over 4,390,000 volumes. The campus area also contains Library, academic centers, teaching and research buildings, stadiums, standard student dormitories, activity centers, swimming pools, hospitals, bank, post offices, dining halls, etc.
